On the way to the Grand Canyon, we stopped at Crater Lake National Park.

The landscape around the lake was cool - the wildflowers were especially pretty.

We traveled through the desserts of Nevada at night. Grey fox and long eared jack rabbits jumped out of the dark in front of the truck. And, contrary to what some of you may think, I didn't hit any of them. Well, not many anyway.

Later, we drove through the salt flats of Utah. The salt looks like snow, except snow does not hold up to the 90 degree temperature we drove through.
