Stratford upon the Avon

We were having a great time in England - and it was only getting better! Our new friends, Adam and Amanda, offered to show us the town. So we hopped a train to the booming metropolis of Flitwick (the "t" is silent, I'm told) to meet them for a tour of Stratford and Warwick castle. Here they are as we are about to set out on our adventure:

And we were off to Stratford, the birthplace of Shakespeare - and here it is:

Now, aside from the Shakespear thing (and don't get me wrong - I love Shakespeare), Stratford is a cute little town with lots of shopping. We purchased tea, teapots and other odds and ends while there. We also had a really great lunch - chicken salad sandwiches in baguettes. Delicious!

Of course, one of the most important things we acquired in Stratford was Proper Pooh. At the English Teddy Bear Company, we selected (after much poking and prodding) the fluffiest, cuddliest, and decidely plumpest Pooh available. Be sure to check out his adventures!
